The Opportunity

A boutique law firm located in Newark, New Jersey seeks a Bankruptcy Paralegal on a part-time, temporary basis:  20 hours weekly, onsite. The hourly rate is between $25 - $30, plus benefits.

Primary Duties

The Bankruptcy Paralegal will assist with the preparation of bankruptcy petitions, draft legal correspondence and pro forma motions.  Additional duties include the following:

• Prepare, file, and serve pleadings
• ​​​​​​Calendar and track related court and internal deadlines 
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
• Proficient in cloud-based platforms such as Jubilee
• Experience preparing bankruptcy petitions
• Experience drafting legal correspondence and pro forma motions
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 with knowledge of Outlook and Word
