Agentic AI Lead Engineer (Financial Services)

@Orchard LLC has an immediate requirement for an Agentic AI Lead Engineer to become a lead member of the leading US Bank's Agentic AI team. The Lead Engineer will build Agentic AI-related automation for a variety of banking use cases.

Your responsibilities will include.

  • Perform the AI Intent lead role, combining Scrum Master and Product Owner roles to envision the AI automation roadmap.
  • Build AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, memory management, and autonomous task execution.
  • Utilize workflow configuration in Azure Foundry/AWS Bedrock.
  • Implement prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and tool-calling mechanisms.
  • Develop multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, MCP Server, or Semantic Kernel.
  • Design Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for context-aware AI responses.
  • Develop scalable backend services and APIs to support AI agent operations.
  • Monitor agent performance, reliability, and response quality.
  • Ensure responsible AI practices, including security, governance, observability, and compliance. 
  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and business teams to deliver AI-driven automation solutions

Your background will include.

  • Demonstrate strength in the AI Agent automation development process using Azure/AWS.
  • Experience in creating an AI product roadmap and conducting backlog maintenance.
  • At least 5 years in software development with demonstrable Agentic AI implementation experience.
  • Must be strong in Azure Foundry/AWS Bedrock-related agentic automation implementation.
  • Excellent development skills using Python, SQL, and Pandas.
  • Good exposure to the agile testing process.
  • Should have excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders

Compensation: Compensation ranges are determined by several factors, including skill set, experience, licensure, certifications, and location. The anticipated range for a base salary for this role is between $60K & $140K. There may be some flexibility for exceptionally qualified individuals.
