Experience: 3+ years in a technical role with a focus on system design, hardware/software integration, or field service, supporting DOD/DOW environments.
Technical Competence: Hands-on experience deploying and configuring software on edge hardware and deploying wireless networks.
Clearance: An active Secret Clearance is strongly preferred. The ability to maintain a clearance is required, and the applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
Location: Metro DC, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Seattle, or Dallas. Able to travel up to 75% of the time to visit client locations.

Preferred Skills

Direct experience with radio hardware and telecommunications protocols.
Proven ability to convey complex technical data to both engineers and executive stakeholders.
A "find a way" mentality—the ability to operate independently in austere or high-stakes environments.
Experience integrating third-party software and hardware into existing systems
Practical experience working with APIs, webhooks, and data connectors, and familiarity with common data formats and messaging protocols.
Broad familiarity with wireless and wired communications systems, practices, and protocols

Compensation: This role will be compensated through a base salary and incentives based on your performance as an individual and the company.
Director, Strategic Growth – National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
Hybrid Work – Must be in the Metro DC Area
Active Top-Secret Clearance in Required (TS/SCI, Preferred)
@Orchard is seeking an experienced Director-level Growth professional with strong, current relationships and networks within the NRO for a client with an established NRO footprint. The core focus is on growing a presence in the areas of AI/ML, GEO Int, CGI, Mesh Networks, and other cutting-edge sectors.
If you are looking to join a private-equity-backed fast-growth firm with plans to double its revenue over the next four years through organic growth, this is your chance.
Our client is forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence, helping decision makers and operators navigate what’s happening now and shape what’s coming next. To be eligible for this position, you must be a U.S. Citizen. This position requires an active U.S. Government security clearance; applicants who do not currently hold the required clearance will not be eligible for consideration. Employment is contingent upon verification of clearance status.
About the role:
This is not a traditional sales role. You will create opportunities where none exist, shape demand from first principles, and guide customers from ambiguity to adoption. You’ll engage deeply with technical operators, mission owners, and senior leadership, translating capabilities into mission-critical outcomes.
Success in this role requires both technical fluency and commercial instinct. You should be equally comfortable discussing constellation architecture, AI/ML workflows, and collection orchestration as you are building a pipeline, driving strategy, and closing high-impact deals.
What You’ll Do:

Generate and drive new business across NRO and IC accounts through highly targeted, insight-led outreach
Engage deeply with mission stakeholders to understand operational gaps and shape solutions from first principles
Translate Vantor’s space + AI platform into a clear, differentiated mission advantage
Own pipeline creation end-to-end—from initial engagement through qualification and deal progression
Build credibility quickly with technical and operational audiences
Develop account strategies grounded in mission priorities, budget cycles, and acquisition pathways
Operate with precision in pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline
Partner tightly with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to refine positioning and accelerate adoption
Stay ahead of the competitive and technological landscape across space, GEOINT, and AI/ML

Minimum Qualifications:

Active TS with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI
Demonstrated experience in strategic business development leadership, or mission-facing roles in defense, space, or deep tech
Demonstrated success selling or deploying complex, technical systems into DoD/IC environments
Direct experience engaging with NRO stakeholders, programs, or mission sets
Strong technical fluency across at least one of:

Space systems/satellite programs
AI/ML and data platforms
GEOINT or remote sensing

Experience with next-gen constellations, collection orchestration, or space-ground architectures
Familiarity with mesh networks, AI-enabled analytics, or commercial GEOINT

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of IC/DoD acquisition and program lifecycles
Experience working cross-functionally with technical and product teams in fast-moving environments
Exposure to MEDDPICC or similar frameworks (used pragmatically, not dogmatically)

Compensation: The On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position is: $264,000.00 - $440,000.00 annually. OTE is built from a 70/30 split (base/variable), aligned to high ownership and high impact.

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to own our accounting, finance, and compliance functions.

About the Role:
This position is a hands-on, one-person accounting function designed to bridge the gap between transactional data and executive decision-making. The primary objective is to transform the existing accounting foundation into a source of reliable financial intelligence. This individual will personally manage the full spectrum of accounting & financial operations, from ensuring the accuracy of initial coding to delivering high-level strategic projections.
You’ll be the cornerstone of our back office - working directly in QuickBooks, Paylocity, and Beebole to process transactions, close the books, manage cash, and ensure compliance with government contracting requirements. You’ll also maintain our profiles in government systems (SAM.gov, IPP, etc.), manage insurance programs, and keep our records audit-ready.

Responsibilities:

Own all day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring precision in a lean, small-business environment.
Standardize the month-end close and re-engineer accounting process architectures to ensure data integrity and scalable workflows.
Engineer advanced management reporting packages, including granular cost visibility, task order, and customer P&Ls, cash flow forecasting, and annual budgeting.
Manage full-lifecycle GovCon accounting, specifically complex task-order setups, compliant billing cycles, and DCAA reporting.
Manage company profiles in SAM.gov, IPP, and other government systems.
Keep all financial, insurance, and compliance records organized, backed up, and audit-ready.
Maintain compliance with DCAA, FAR/DFARS, indirect rates, and contract billing.
Oversee insurance renewals and risk management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, CMA, or comparable professional certification/license is strongly preferred.
5-10 years of hands-on accounting experience, including a proven track record of owning the accounting function for a small business
Strong reporting skills with the ability to build complex reconciliations and custom reports outside of standard accounting software.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, QuickBooks, and Paylocity; experience with integrated timekeeping systems is required.
Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial business where you will own the work, not just manage it.
Preference: Significant experience in government contracting (familiarity with DCAA, FAR/DFARS, indirect rate, and billing) is a major plus.

Why Join Us?
If you want to be the key accounting, finance, and compliance leader in a small business where your work has an immediate impact, this is the role. You’ll own the systems, re-architect the processes, and ensure the company is always financially sound and audit-ready.

Compensation: The base salary is dependent on qualifications and experience and is expected to be in the range of $80,000-$90,000 annually. Benefits are provided, including PTO, health, dental, and vision.
