The Opportunity

A highly regarded insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Trial Attorney or Senior Trial Attorney to cover litigated claims throughout Massachusetts. This position is fully remote with required travel to courts across Massachusetts. Base salary is $130K-$168K at the Trial Attorney level with a 10% bonus; $146K-$189K at the Senior Trial Attorney level with a 15% bonus. Primary Duties

The Trial Attorney will manage a full caseload from start to resolution, including developing defense strategies, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and handling trials and appeals. The position also includes advising claims professionals, maintaining client communication, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

• Represent clients in court, including trials, hearings, and depositions
• Analyze legal and factual issues and develop defense strategies
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs
• Manage cases from inception through resolution
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Provide legal guidance to claims teams
• Assist with training materials and ongoing legal education

Requirements

• J.D. and active bar admission in Massachusetts
• Minimum 7+ years of legal experience
• Strong litigation, research, and writing skills
• Experience with case management software
• Trial experience and knowledge of general liability/construction defect claims preferred
• Multi-state bar admission a plus
• Travel (~20%) for court appearances and related matters
