@Orchard LLC is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support an HHS contract. While the role is work-from-home, the strong preference is for someone located in the Washington, DC Metro Area. You must hold an active secret clearance to be considered.
As the Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the payroll database, including the integration of additional data sources. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Design and implement scalable data storage systems and cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) to ensure organized retrieval and version control.
- Perform advanced data queries to troubleshoot and identify payroll data discrepancies.
- Build and maintain complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to automate the flow of data from diverse sources.
- Design and optimize complex SQL procedures.
- Perform advanced tasks such as large-scale data migrations, file conversions, and database indexing.
- Partner with payroll stakeholders to define data requirements and develop user-friendly interfaces for accessing datasets.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards, audit databases for errors, and implement automated data validation rules.
- Support clients in collecting and analyzing data, producing models and visualizations, and conclude the data to improve decision-making.
- Develop and maintain technical artifacts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the manager
Your background will include:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of specialized experience in data management, data science, or a related technical field. Instead of a degree, an additional 4 years of related experience or relevant professional certification may be substituted.
- Certification: Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) – preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and scripting languages such as Python or R for automation and manipulation.
- Ability to build dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Expertise with database platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
- Outstanding interpersonal communication with analysts and senior leaders.
- Possess a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a large organization, managing diverse tasks, requirements, and commitments.
- Available to work under tight deadlines and work during evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Demonstrate active listening skills to gain an understanding of key customer issues.
- Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.
- Ability to view problems from multiple angles and apply a variety of solutions to solve them.
- Prior working knowledge of Payroll Systems and Informatica, or SAP HANA, is a preference.
Compensation: The base salary is dependent on qualifications and experience and is expected to be in the range of $100-150K. Benefits are provided, including health, dental, vision, and 401K.
