Title: Director, Closing Services
Location: Coraopolis, PA
The Director, Closing Services provides strategic leadership and direction in the operation teams to ensure process and documentation accuracy and completion, proper funds disbursement, and compliance with investor and legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. Overseeing the day-to-day operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring the highest standards of efficiency and quality within the team.
As a dynamic and resourceful professional, we will rely on you to perform the following duties:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership and oversee and optimize all aspects of the Closing Process.
- Conduct regular reviews and analyses of operational performance.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency measures; develop and execute strategies to address any identified areas of improvement.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify the opportunities for upselling and cross-selling based on client insights.
- Resolve escalated client issues and ensure timely and effective resolution
- Work closely with other departments, including underwriting, legal, and sales, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as title agencies and vendors, to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and completeness of the curative and closing process.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team while fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture within the operations department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree a plus.
- 5+ years of related experience in title insurance title closing, preferably in a financial services organization.
- 5+ years of experience in progressively senior leadership roles.
- 2+ years of experience administering escrow/closing procedures for real estate lending transactions.
- 2+ years of experience with vendor selection, contract negotiation, and monitoring performance against expectations.
- Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; while exhibiting objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer service orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as title commitment, lender’s instructions, purchase contracts and other related documents required to verify the lender's closing requirement have been met.
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry field.
- Knowledge of related legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of e-recording services and systems.
- National Title Agency experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
