Description

Description: The Senior Project Manager provides operational, technical, and administrative oversight, guidance, and supervision to individual Contract Project Managers and Project Supervisors. This position supports the Vice President of Business Development in ensuring the successful, compliant, and profitable operation of the Contracts Division and its personnel.

General Information:

Shift: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Travel Expectations: 10% of less travel

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø  Oversees the successful operation of all government and commercial contracts.

Ø  Supervises and supports project managers with operational, technical, and personnel related matters.

Ø  Supports and enforces established safety, training and certification programs.

Ø  Leads new project startups and special initiatives.

Ø  Provides technical support related to equipment maintenance, repair, and inventory management.

Ø  Develops and implements monitoring systems to ensure contract compliance, quality standards, and profitability.

Ø  Monitors direct labor ratios to ensure program and regulatory compliance.

Ø  Assists in the development of budgets for new and existing contracts.

Ø  Acts as on-site project manager in the absence of the assigned Project Manager

Ø  Conducts task analysis and work loading to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Ø  Performs quality control inspections and directs corrective actions as needed.

Ø  Assists the Vice President of Business Development in contract administration duties as assigned

Ø  Develops and maintains positive working relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Ø  Establishes procedures for equipment inventory control and accountability.

Ø  Promotes and develops the use of technology to enhance service delivery and contract compliance.

Ø  Has the authority to administer disciplinary actions in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Ø  Conducts agency business in accordance with high ethical standards and applicable laws.

Ø  Ensures compliance with all contractual, state, and federal requirements.

Ø  Monitors project budgets and develops corrective actions for budget variances.

Ø  Drafts job descriptions for new contracts and services.

Ø  Utilizes agency resources and assets to maximize return on investment.

Ø   Participates in training and professional development opportunities.

Ø  Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple contracts across various geographic locations.

Ø  Develops productivity and performance standards and assist with time studies.

Ø  Recommends and drafts nominations for employee and program awards.

Ø  Ensures compliance with all agency safety programs.

Ø  Adheres to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Board-approved Personnel Handbook.

Ø  Works cooperatively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.

Ø  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Required Skills

 Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred, or a minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience
 Must successfully pass a Level II background check, government screening, drug test, and maintain a clean three-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
 Minimum of three (3) years of experience within the AbilityOne Program preferred.
 Preferred experience with FAR/DFARS, prime and subcontract administration, negotiations, Service Contract Act (SCA), and contract compliance.
 Ability to drive, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
 Veterans’ preference applies where applicable.
