They are seeking a Senior Software Engineerw ith experience in Java to support mission-critical programs that have real impact on our Nation's Defense and Intelligence.

The team builds and maintains an exceptionally powerful platform enabling our users to address challenging real-world problems by converting disparate data into actionable information. The team is deeply passionate about its mission and takes tremendous pride in our work.  They work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes of Geospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer adversaries. 

 
As a Software Engineer, you will: Work as an integral part of a software development team translating real-world needs into technical solutions. The ideal candidate is a software engineer passionate about helping to drive our customers’ and company missions forward. The candidate must be self-motivated, a quick learner, and able to balance simultaneous tasks to keep pace with our team of high performers.  

Required Qualifications:     
  • Current Top Secret Security Clearance, preferably a Top Secret SCI with a current polygraph 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience in software development (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance)
  • Demonstrated experience developing with Java, RESTful APIs
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating multiple applications.
  • Experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to mission problems.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, NiFi automation.
  • AWS experience
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous integration and software CM processes / tools (Subversion, GIT, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Demonstrated experience with building DevOps pipelines for enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code applications (Chef, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
  • AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps and/or, Architect, etc.)
 
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:   ​​​​​​​​​​​
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Minikube, etc.  
  • Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot 
  • Experience with ElasticSearch 
  • Experience with AWS environments 
  • Experience working in an SAFe Agile environment 
  • Security+ Certification 
The compensation range is $140k- $190k annual. Please note that this range is dependent on skills and experience.
