National telecommunications company seeks a Licensing Account Analyst in Houston, TX. The position is hybrid: Monday thru Thursday in the local office and Friday is an optional WFH day. This is a long-term, temporary assignment expected to last at least 12 months. The hourly rate can be up to $32.50, depending upon experience. Medical benefits and paid time off is available.
Primary Duties:
The Licensing Account Analyst will assist the Contract Operations team manage various processes to accurately interpret legal contacts to ensure the ongoing accuracy of data in the JDE Property Management system (JDE). The efforts of this position result in accurate billings, proper escalation, data and billing corrections for customer accounts and other JDE functions.-
Responsible for interpreting legal contracts and abstracting contract data into various systems. Process includes: review of the general ledger and all associated sub ledgers in accordance with the legal contracts to accurately post billings; and recommend necessary adjustments.

Interacts with Internal customers via telephone, email or other correspondence. Explain contract terms and outcomes pertaining to the scope of work pursuant to the legal contract.

Researches and interprets various legal documents and contract terms. Corresponds with internal teams/departments to ensure accuracy in billing, and overall data integrity. Escalates issues found during this process.

Updates JDE with abstracted data points from the legal contracts. These updates directly impact billing, and ASC842 financials. Ensures all terms and conditions are accurate in JDE per the legal contract.

Responsible for administering multiple recurring processes that have an impact on monthly financials. All processes require a thorough review of data output, legal contracts and updates to JDE. Processes include, but are not limited to, the monthly escalation of all revenue, termination of revenue streams, detection of data inaccuracies that result in incorrect billing and incorrect ASC842 adjustments.

Responsible for working on special accounts, data integrity reports and projects which may fall as an exception to normal processing.

Has thorough knowledge of JDE tables and field usage. Understands flow of data from Contract Operations to General Ledger. Understands required field use for Recurring Billing, Escalation, ASC842 processing.

Works under monthly deadlines to ensure timely financial adjustments.

Provide information as needed to Project Management Teams related to contract terms, billing and JDE questions.
Requirements:

High school diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred

One (1) to two (2) years Accounting experience

Experience reviewing Legal contracts preferred

Certificate contract courses preferred
-
At least two (2) years of work experience in a fast paced detail oriented profession

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and interpersonal skills

Proficiency with Document Management Systems

Excellent pc skills – Microsoft Office – specifically Excel

Ability to comprehend legal documents

Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously

Working knowledge of accounting principles

Strong analysis and reporting capability

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and meet monthly deadlines
