Join a dynamic, fast-growing team looking to expand our workforce and customer base. We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused, high-energy individual to lead our turf and shrub fertilization and pest control division. The Certified Pest Control Operator is the primary contact for our residential and commercial clients and performs all aspects of the fertilization and pest control process. The position requires operation of a variety of lawn and landscape equipment and must be able to drive a truck and trailer. The ideal candidate will also be knowledgeable of plant materials, horticultural practices and irrigation as well as all state and federal regulations governing use of chemicals and application procedures.
Job Requirements:- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team player
- 3+ years experience as a CPO or lawn service technician
- Valid Florida Certified Pest Control Operator license
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Daily Responsibilities:- Ensure you and your team members follow safety protocols.
- Professional and effective communication with team members, customers and management.
- Perform fertilization and pest control services and provide expert advice to our customers on maintaining a beautiful, healthy lawn.
- Apply appropriate granular, liquid, dust, gel or ULV applications for pest, disease and weed control.
- Diagnose existing and potential turf and shrub issues during routine inspections.
- Complete detailed, legible service tickets to provide to customers and office.
- Assist with materials ordering, monitoring costs and deliveries.
- Train team members on disease identification and use of chemicals.
- Operate and maintain power equipment including motorized spreader, spray equipment, aeration machine, and gas-powered backpack blower.
- Maintain irrigation systems and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Position requires physical activity and heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
