A national telecommunications company seeks a Legal Assistant - Risk Management in their Canonsburg, PA office location. This is a long-term, temporary assignment expected to last at least 12 months on a hybrid schedule: 3-days on-site, 2-days remote.  The hourly rate is $20-$25, depending upon experience.

Primary Duties:

The Legal Assistant - Risk Management is responsible for ensuring vendor compliance with corporate insurance requirements, tracking vendor insurance compliance at the corporate level, and keeping appropriate people well informed about those issues. Must have thorough knowledge of commercial insurance policies and endorsements and the ability to keep the appropriate team members well informed about these items. Additional duties include the following:    

  • Maintains up-to-date vendor insurance records in a database

  • Reviews insurance certificates and endorsements to confirm corporate compliance

  • Communicates and enforces standards regarding the company's vendor insurance requirements

  • Communicates regularly with the management team to keep them well informed of vendor insurance issues

  • Prepares, reviews and analyzes monthly compliance reports

  • Identifies and notifies management and Area Project Managers, Tower Operations Managers and District Managers of non-compliance issues

  • Interacts with vendor representatives and their insurance agents or brokers

  • Provides support and guidance on contractor insurance issues to the NCQ Team within Supply Chain Management

  • Coordinates responses to all routine written or telephone communications, relay messages and generate routine interoffice communications, as required


  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred

  • At least two (2) years of work experience in commercial insurance related field

  • Insurance related certifications preferred 

  • Knowledge of commercial insurance policies and certificates

  • Extensive knowledge of spreadsheet applications

  • ​​​​​Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and interpersonal skills

  • Strong ability to effectively and efficiently communicate insurance compliance issues to management
