Job Summary.

The Recruiter will focus on tasks related to meeting staffing related team goals.  This position will create an inventory of qualified candidates to meet current and future client needs.  They will recruit, screen, evaluate, on-board, job match and conduct candidate reference and background checks, when applicable.  In addition, client relationship development, business development, client visits and community involvement are an important function of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruits, screens, evaluates, on-boards and assigns temporary and direct hire candidates to meet client needs.
  • Develops and implements sourcing strategies for talented and diverse candidates through both web-based resource and traditional methods (job posting, data mining of the internet, on-line database, career fairs, open houses, strategic partnerships, etc.) Maintain a network of contacts to identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Actively participates in mass sourcing events, professionally representing and promoting Idea Recruitment and our clients as an "Employer of Choice".
  • Proactively monitors and evaluates applicant pool and recalibrates sourcing strategy as needed.
  • Screens candidates for full understanding of availability, interest levels, employment status, salary range, relocation needs, and basic qualifications.  Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education, skills, training, fit with organization, and future potential.
  • Enables positive applicant experience through the interview and hiring process.  Maintains efficient and effective communications that supports the recruiting team. 
  • Engages with candidates, conducts interviews, administers applicant assessments as part of the screening process and performs reference and background checks on candidates.
  • Consistently updates applicant tracking system in a timely manner. Ensures compliance with established procedures, labor agreements, and applicable laws. Ensures compliance with Federal immigration laws. 
  • Generates hiring activity reports weekly or as required.
  • Services clients through efficient record keeping, prompt follow through, profitable pricing and skill marketing.
  • Develops clients to maximum potential by adhering to quality standards and performing client visits when able. 
  • Skill market top notch candidates to develop new business and expand current client base.
  • Supervises temporary employee work force. 
  • Coordinates interview processes between clients and candidates.
  • Able to work evening and weekend hours, as necessary.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Human Resources Operations – knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, processes and best practices.  Knowledge of Human Resources related guidelines and State and Federal laws. 
  • Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated, passionate, and creative team-player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within the organization.  Willing to take direction and guidance, be adaptable to change.
  • Communication – able to effectively and persuasively express self verbally and in writing, using correct language and grammar in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving & Decision Making – able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings, and make thoughtful recommendations.
  • Organization & Time Management – able to work independently with minimal supervision, planning, scheduling and organizing schedules to complete actions within established deadlines, handling multiple priorities.  Strong attention to detail.  Able to work independently and in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Systems & Software – intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.  Knowledge of applicant tracking systems preferred.
Required Skills

High School Diploma required.  Associates degree is desirable.

One to two years experience in a service related industry preferred.

Experience working in Human Resources related function preferred.
