​​​​​​A highly regarded national law firm seeks an Immigration Paralegal on a temporary basis until September 2022. The position is located in Newark, NJ (commutable by NYC and NJ public transportation). This position will be on a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office, 2 days working remotely. The hourly rate is $30-$40, depending on experience. 

Primary Duties:

The Immigration Paralegal will prepare and process business immigration petitions including H-1B, L-1, E-3, etc. and perform related administrative duties as directed.  PERM/I-140 experience preferred.  You will work closely with the partner responsible for advising employers in a variety of industries on business-related immigration matters involving the recruitment, hiring, transfer, and retention of foreign nationals in the United States and assisting employers in obtaining nonimmigrant visas for foreign nationals working temporarily in executive, managerial, professional, skilled or specialized knowledge positions in the United States  including obtaining permanent resident status ("Green Card") on behalf of foreign nationals. 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of solid business immigration experience
  • Ability to thrive in a highly demanding work environment 
  • Prior experience in interacting with daily immigration correspondence
  • Preparing status updates to reflect accurate and up to date information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Record keeping of all immigration related documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
