Description
National telecommunications company seeks a Stock Plan Administrator/Compensation Analyst for a temporary assignment expected to last three to six months. The hourly rate is $42 - $52 depending upon experience. Candidates local to Houston, Texas are preferred but the role can be remote for the right candidate.

Primary Duties

The Stock Plan Administrator/Compensation Analyst will work with the Compensation Analysis Team with a heavy concentration in Stock Plan Administration.  The position reports directly to the Vice President of Total Rewards/Compensation team. Additional duties include the following:
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the company’s stock program, acting as the data owner; ensures that all stock-based activity is accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner. Acts as the central point of contact with stock plan vendor.
  • Deliver all aspects of long-term incentive (LTI) transactions efficiently and accurately, including data management, recording and acceptance of grants, cancellations, terminations, processing and payment of vested awards and exercises, and resolution of employee equity issues.
  • Maintain the integrity of all files and electronic databases related to the administration of long-term incentive grants.
  • Provide support for quarterly dividend calculations and payments.
  • Coordinate with Tax and Payroll Departments on LTI matters and confirm appropriate rates are applied at taxable events.
  • Provide reports to management on plan balances, grant activity, forecast share pool usage, etc.
  • Track and manage all in-process stock grants, including requirements that must be satisfied (e.g., approval, employment start) prior to processing.
  • Will also be called on to assist the corporate compensation in the following areas, as needed:
    • General reporting/analysis
    • Competitive compensation analyses, including job analysis and benchmarking
    • Maintenance of competitive market data within the company’s market pay aggregation systems
    • Preparation for and support of the company's annual compensation cycle (first quarter)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in stock plan administration for a publicly traded corporation.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Charles Schwab platform a plus.
  • Certification in stock plan administration discipline (e.g., CEP – Certified Equity Professional) a plus.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation a plus.
  • Highly organized.
  • Attention to detail, timely follow-up, excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage vendor partners to meet company's quality expectations.
  • Logical and analytical skills as well as strong query and reporting skills, including the ability to summarize complex information clearly and succinctly.
  • Considerable knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in various computer programs, including strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and database functionality.
  • Technical problem-solving skills – ability to analyze and troubleshoot operational problems.
  • Strong knowledge of competitive compensation program design and administration, particularly in the area of long-term incentive programs.
