Idea Recruitment has partnered with a public transit service provider in Jacksonville, FL in their search for a Business Development Manager.

Summary of Job
Under the Director of Economic Development, this position is responsible for the generation and analysis of advertising sales and Pass Partnership programs. 

Essential Job Functions
· Supports the Director – Economic Development, in fostering public/private partnership for transit oriented development integrated into the transit system, with focus on development around existing or planned premium transit services.
· Assists in setting annual sales goals and projections for the organization.
· Develops sales incentive and promotion programs to help generate sales and leads.
· Partners with the Contract Compliance Department in reviewing and approving all advertising contracts, at the Directors behest.   
· Prospects and cold calls to generate leads.
· Teams with the Director in coordination of and making of sales presentations within the business community to promote the use of transit services.
· Manages Pass Partnership programs with retail outlets.
· Participates in strategic planning in retaining of current and future developed partnerships. 
· continuous superior customer service to advertising clients.
· Develops key performance indicators for prospective clients and performs analysis on their success. 
· Develops key department indicators and performs analysis on the success of the department. 
· Uses statistical analysis to forecast and correlate trends.
· Prepare performance measure reports for Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
· Conduct performance reviews to identify areas of improvement related to business development and data sources for key measurements.
· Teams with Director in representing company at advertising/outdoor functions/trade shows.

Supervisory & Operational Authority
·  No direct reports.

Compliance
· Responsible for completing all mandatory training classes. 
· Responsible for reviewing and complying with all policies, procedures and directives.

Required/Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics or related field from an accredited university and combination of five years related sales and/or analytical experience. An advanced degree is preferred.

· Knowledge of principles, practices and strategies of marketing and advertising.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to prospect, develop and service client relationships.
· Ability to write sales materials, letters and proposals.
· Ability to close on contracts following established contract procedures.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
· Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to make formal and informal presentations to staff, as well as, any other required meetings.
· Strong interpersonal skills and able to build relationships with all levels of the organization.
· Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
· Provide business recommendations and translate business needs into data requirements.
· Preferred knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
· Preferred proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI and SQL.

Physical Demands
· Sit and or stand for prolonged periods.
· Perform repetitive motion.

 
Required Skills
