@Orchard (formerly Talent Orchard) has been an opening to support our large Federal Systems Integration firm for a Contract to Hire Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Engineer to support their Enterprise PKI Service in Reston, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to support one of the largest defense contractors that has over $22.59 billion dollars in revenue and is a publicly traded company. The company works in a fast paced environment with over 84, 000 employees worldwide. Initial contract duration will be 5 months.

Responsibilities:
The candidate will apply their experience in PKI to support systems infrastructure, hardware, and software, including analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, provisioning, upgrade and day-to-day operations. Applying established best practices, you will take charge of build decisions, infrastructure and systems software design on larger, more complex systems to achieve strategic objectives in the areas of service management, risk management and project delivery. You will execute Detail Design tasks and create associated deliverables; consult on capacity planning decisions for infrastructure, software solutions, and services; provide functional analysis and oversight for incident management; establish monitoring and automation processes to increase efficiencies; develop scope, scale and budgets for support projects. A strategic thinker, you move between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence, helping to bring out the best in those around you.

Experience/Skills Required:
Must be US Citizen 6+ years of experience with IT, including certificate authority, certificate management, card management system, HSM, and registration authorities.
Experience in operations/management of On-Premise Certificate Authority (Microsoft, Oracle, Redhat, etc) CA/PKI Infrastructure Experience in operations/management of Certificate Management System/ Card management System (Intercede, Entrust, CSS, etc.) Experience in operations/management of HSM management (Safenet, Thales, etc) Experience in operations/management of Registration Authorities (RAs), CRLs, HSMs, OSCP to deploy complex PKI system with other technologies Experience in operations/management of Kerberos, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Web Services, Wireless Networks, AD, LDAP, MFA technologies Experience in operations/management of a PKI environment that aligns with government regulations such as CMMC and FedRAMP Experience in operations/management of PKI, 802.1x/EA-TLS Authentication protocols Strong Network and Endpoint (Server/Desktop/Mobile) device experience desired Experience with SIEM tool, preferably Splunk Experience with agile project methodology Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to learn new concepts quickly Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, highly effective communicator, excellent organizational skills skills with the ability to work within deadlines, prioritize work, and multi-task Knowledge of compliance regulations including, but not limited to, CMMC and FedRAMP Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in CS, IT or an engineering discipline.
