@Orchard (formerly Talent Orchard) has an opening to support our large Federal Systems Integration firm for a BOM Analyst in multiple locations. This will be a Contract opportunity with an initial contract duration being is 6 months. Openings currently available at San Jose CA, Sterling Heights MI, Minneapolis MN, Phoenix AZ and York PA.

Job Description:
Provides technical support to Programs on a variety of tasks with focus on Bill of Materials Management. Review and Process engineering documentation to Establish and maintains complex data sets from multiple Product Data Management System Databases / MRP System / Oracle. Prepare and support contract deliveries and proposal activities related to Bills of Material Management. Performs detailed comparison / reconciliation calculations; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Attend meetings with engineering/program management for status reporting; Support ISO, CMMI, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Quality and corporate audits. Continuously strives to maintain and enhance the technical reputation of BAE Systems with customers and industry. Maintains familiarity with industry practices, trends, and applications to enhance the organization’s technical capabilities. Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies. Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.

Required Skills/Experience:
A Bachelor's or Associates Degree or 3 years work experience or equivalent experience.
Previous user of an MRP/ERP system such as Oracle with specific experience with Bills of Material management. Defense or Automotive Industry experience with regard to Bills of Material Management.
Experience with the use of a Product Data Management (PDM) system and MRP / Oracle. Applicant needs to be familiar with and a previous user of an MRP/ERP system such as Oracle with specific focus on Bills of Material Management in a Production environment. Understanding of Engineering / Manufacturing / Operations processes; Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required; Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; attention to detail, coupled with good time management and organization skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Sound interpersonal and professional skills for interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers. Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. General knowledge of Configuration/Data Management principals, such as MIL-HDBK-61 and EIA 640; Understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, Engineering change (ECR, ECO and ECPs), Product Structure trees, Work Breakdown Structures, and a General knowledge of mechanical and electrical design, development and manufacturing; Excellent computer skills, with a solid understanding of the typical PC applications especially MS Office Excel and Word.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Familiarity with CAD applications, preferably PTC Creo/ProE. EPDM/Windchill usage is desired, with regards to Bills of Material Management for Engineering Indented BOMs and associated changes.
Experience with PTC Windchill PDM Bill of Material Management highly desirable. Familiarity with CAD applications, preferably PTC Creo/ProE. Previous Defense or Automotive Industry experience with regard to Bills of Material Management is preferred.​​​​​​
