International law firm located in New York City seeks an experienced Attorney - Insurance Litigation for a long-term, temporary position that is available on an immediate basis. Currently the position is remote with an hourly rate between $40 - $50. When the offices reopen, the position will be located in NYC or Morris County, NJ.
Primary Duties
The attorney will work closely with a highly-regarded partner who handles a wide range of complex insurance matters, including subrogation claims and must be able to handle litigation from start to conclusion: drafting and filing complaints, interviewing witness, selecting experts, drafting discovery, conducting depositions, drafting and arguing motions, engaging in settlement discussions and interfacing with corporate clients. Several of the claims are global in nature and require an attorney who is adept at creating alternative dispute resolution strategies in high-profile cases. The insurance claims cover a wide range of legal matters including admiralty, aviation, boilers, chemical spills, collapses, electrical failures, explosions, fires, structural failures, and water losses. Must be admitted to practice in NY and NJ bar.
