Position Summary:

 

The Director of Commercialization will lead specific projects and coordinate with team members and client partners (formulators, supplier’s manufacturers, etc.) cross functionally taking projects from concept to commercialization. Our client provides top notch operational execution & support for small up and coming food and beverage brands.  This is a remote position that requires a self-starter and someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

·        Lead, own & support client commercialization projects. Actively interacting and supporting the commercialization need of clients according to the scope of work

·        Conceives and own commercialization projects entirely, both in their area and cross functionally

·        Regularly scopes and stages work into well-defined milestones

·        Identify and proactively tackle future obstacles before they have an opportunity to take a project off track

·        Use best judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining desired results

·        Leads client/brand calls – interacts and advises clients in the area of expertise

·        Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel

·        Identify and proposes strategies to problems affecting their team and gets buy in on solutions

·        Gives guidance and finds opportunities to mentor grow teammates

·        Partner with third party suppliers, vendors, regulatory and manufacturing partners

·        Operate at times as the agent of the client

 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

 

·        5+ years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment in commercialization and go to market strategies. Natural/organic and or plant-based experience preferred

·        Must be service oriented and can manage client relationships

·        Must have a solid understanding and have experience launching and scaling food and beverage products

·        Must have previous management experience

·        Must be able to overcome challenging obstacles and have the ability to prioritize and change direction as needed

·        A passion and curiosity for developing delicious food

·        Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a natural ability to forge strong relationships

·        Experience in cross functional project management

·        Experience with project management and or lean manufacturing preferred

·        Past experience vetting and working with co-manufacturing on product development and commercialization

·        Ability to overcome challenges and find creative solutions to achieve desired results

·        Past experience with food safety systems

·        Past experience using project management tools

·        Ability to travel up to 20%

·        Technology proficient and ability to leverage tech for efficiency

·        Must have demonstrated excellence in critical thinking and ability to be pragmatic and tactical as needed

·        Must have understand and have the experience with production, launching a product and taking it to market
