@Orchard LLC is seeking an exceptional UI Developer, focused on Agentic AI. We are supporting a client that is on a mission to invent a whole new class of software. They are building next-generation agentic products that will revolutionize data integration, and we need to find a visionary UI Developer to design how humans interact with them.

You will be defining the visual experience for AI agents and multi-agent systems. So, how do you visually represent an AI; planning and executing a complex data pipeline? If you're a brilliant developer with a passion for human-centered design and a desire to build something truly new, this is your opportunity.

What You'll Do:

Your primary mission is to create visual language for complex AI systems. You won't just be given tasks; you'll strongly influence the design of the entire user experience.

·        Visualize the Invisible: Design, build, and refine highly interactive visualizations for knowledge graphs, complex workflows, and AI system environments. You'll make the abstract tangible and the complex intuitive.

·        Own the User Experience: You will lead the design process from concept to reality. This includes creating prototypes, conceptual diagrams, storyboards, and shipping the final, polished product.

·        Bridge Humans and AI: Create seamless, intuitive hand-offs between our agentic systems and third-party data platforms, ensuring a frictionless and powerful user journey.

·        Be a Pioneer: This is a new frontier. You'll stay on the cutting edge of UX paradigms for agentic systems, leading trade studies and assessments to ensure we're using the best possible approaches.

·        Collaborate & Ship: Work in a tight-knit team, communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to build, test, and deploy high-quality, high-performance software.

Our Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a problem-solver with a "let's figure it out" attitude who thrives on ambiguity and new challenges.

·        Experienced UI Architect: You have 8+ years of experience in a science or engineering field, with at least 6 years dedicated to mastering UI development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST).

·        Visualization Virtuoso: You have significant, demonstrable experience building complex, interactive, drag-and-drop configuration experiences and graph visualizations.

·        JavaScript Expert: You are an expert in modern UI frameworks, especially Node.js, React, Redux, and Material UI.

·        Data-Viz Specialist: You have deep experience with libraries like D3, Draggable, or similar flow-based libraries.

·        Technical Leader: You can confidently architect solutions and describe best practices for state management, rendering optimization, async actions, and cross-platform support.

·        Design-Minded Developer: You are proficient with visual design tools (like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva) and have a thorough understanding of human-centered design.

·        Independent Problem-Solver: You are motivated, can work independently, and are skilled at self-identifying the next task to move the mission forward.

·        Cleared for results: You either currently possess an active security clearance or know that you are clearable up to Top Secret clearance levels.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)

·        Experience with distributed systems and data platforms (Spark, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, vector/graph databases).

·        Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure, GCP).

·        Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform or Web Assembly (WASM).

·        Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Kibana.
