Hourly Rate: $17.80/hr

Position Summary: Perform work that supports the timely and accurate flow of information and outputs for others. Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrates cultural competence working with diverse consumers. This position is full-time, in office and location will vary between Palm Bay and Rockledge.

Technical/Functional Expectations:

  1. Document Processing: Transcribe, create, format, input, edit, retrieve, copy, and transmit text, data, and graphics in order to produce documents and presentations.
  2. Responsible for the File On Q process: To ensure the confidentiality and daily accounting of client files and records.
  3. Planning/Scheduling: Plan and schedule meetings, meeting rooms, conferences, teleconferences, and travel schedules to support Care Center Manager and partner staff.
  4. Switchboard Operation: To provide back-up coverage to answer calls on switchboard in order to make proper connections to requested personnel or provide routine information to callers and visitors to the Care Center.
  5. Maintain Files: Store and retrieve files both hard copy and electronically in accordance with established procedures in order to ensure the timely access of information and records.
  6. Spreadsheets: Create spreadsheets with appropriate data in order to provide others with organized statistical reports or graphs.
  7. Petty Cash reconciliation: To ensure proper accounting and documentation of the petty cash funds.
  8. Other duties as required: Job performance requires fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.

  1. Interpersonal Skills: In order to work collaboratively with all care center staff as well as meeting and greeting a diverse public.
  2. Organizational skills: In order to effectively meet the variety of tasks and deadlines associated with this position
  3. 2 years administrative assistant experience: In order to demonstrate relevant experiences and competency in serving in this capacity.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma required.
  2. AA/AS - Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
  3. 2 years related experience required.
  4. Prior human services or non-profit experience preferred.
