We're hiring Golf Starters at Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles.

This prestigious West Los Angeles club is seeking golf knowledgeable and customer service-oriented people to work as a first tee starter 3-5 days per week. The Golf Starter at Hillcrest Country Club is responsible for managing tee times and ensuring an orderly and timely start to each round of golf. As the first point of contact on the course, the Starter provides a welcoming experience for members and guests while enforcing pace of play and club policies to maintain a high standard of service and golf etiquette.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet all players warmly and provide them with relevant course information (rules, local conditions, pace of play guidelines, etc.)
• Verify tee times and ensure groups tee off in a timely, orderly fashion
• Monitor pace of play and communicate with Rangers or Golf Shop as needed
• Coordinate with the Pro Shop, Rangers, and Cart Attendants to maintain efficient flow of players
• Maintain accurate daily tee sheet and communicate any delays or changes to management
• Ensure all players meet dress code and conduct requirements before play
• Educate players on club rules and expectations in a courteous and professional manner
• Assist with tournament or member event check-ins as required
• Report any incidents, member concerns, or safety issues promptly

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Strong knowledge of golf etiquette and rules
• Prior golf club or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor position with exposure to sun, wind, and varying temperatures
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• May require early morning, evening, and weekend shifts
