Description

Background:

Currently, we are seeking qualified CFD Sr Analyst candidates for modeling Dishwashing / Laundry / Cooking Systems. His / her main duty is providing CFD analyses to support engineering teams in the product development process for new project initiatives / Architecture development as well as cost-reduction actions for the current production.

As a CFD Sr Engineer, you'll apply computational fluid dynamics expertise, primarily using Ansys solutions like Fluent, Icepak, Adjoint and Ensight, to drive innovation in appliance design— be it refrigeration, cooking, laundry, or dishwashing systems. You'll optimize airflow, thermal performance, noise characteristics, and efficiency across product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Develop and execute CFD simulations using Ansys Fluent, CFX, Icepak, or Mechanical to support appliance system design and performance validation.
•    Model various refrigeration, cooking, laundry, or dishwashing systems and optimize thermal-fluid behavior within components such as evaporators, ducts, fans, heating elements, and moisture zones.
•    Employ advanced techniques like adjoint-based optimization for flow shaping and pressure reduction, enhancing performance metrics (e.g., velocity uniformity, pressure drop).
•    Conduct aeroacoustics simulations to assess and mitigate noise in appliance environments.
•    Handle preprocessing (geometry, meshing—structured, unstructured, dynamic), solver setup, and post-processing of results with tools like Fluent Meshing / Space claim/ Ensight.
•    Validate CFD models against experimental or prototype testing to ensure fidelity and guide design adjustments.
•    Document methodologies and findings clearly; present results and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams including product, design, and R&D engineers.
•    Innovate CFD workflows (e.g., automation, high-fidelity setups) to reduce iteration time and improve insight quality.

Qualifications:

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum):
•    Master’s or equivalent in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, Thermal, or similar.
•    Proven 6+ year’s experience using Ansys CFD tools in product development.
•    Solid grasp of heat transfer, multiphase flow, turbulence, and related fluid dynamics principles.
•    Proficiency in meshing strategies and handling complex geometry using Ansys Design Modeler, SpaceClaim, etc. Experience with dynamic meshing (e.g., moving frames, rotating components) or multi-phase modeling
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities—able to support cross- functional teams and present complex results clearly.
•    Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python,
•    Has exposure of using software like ModeFrontier
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; fluent in English.
•    Experience with Multiphysics coupling, HPC clusters, or adjoint optimization of workflows.
•    Collaboration skills and a self-reliant, solution-oriented approach

Preferred:
•    6 or more years of experience using tools Ansys Fluent, Fluent meshing, Space claim. Ansys Meshing techniques.
•    CFD simulation of turbulent fluid flow, convective heat transfer, etc..
•    Industry experience in automotive, aerospace, HVAC, or similar high‑complexity fields.
•    PTC Creo modelling experience
•    English language skills – fluency

Performance Indicators:
•    Accuracy of CFD predictions validated against physical testing.
•    Speed and efficiency in delivering simulation-based recommendations.
•    Reduction in prototyping needs through robust simulation workflows.
•    Effectiveness in communicating insights and driving design improvements.
