@Orchard LLC has an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity for an experienced Environmental Remediation Engineer to join a well-established solutions provider within the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure sectors. This is an exciting role where you will leverage your expertise to lead complex environmental projects from start to finish.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise on complex environmental remediation projects, including those involving soil, sediment, and groundwater.
  • Plan, direct, and supervise major engineering activities on projects with significant manpower and financial investment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and mentor other engineers and design personnel, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused environment.
  • Develop comprehensive operation and maintenance plans, standard operating procedures, and O&M manuals to ensure the long-term success of remediation projects.
  • Conduct site surveys, studies, and investigations to identify the most effective and efficient remediation strategies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a strong preference for a Master's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in environmental remediation engineering, with a proven track record of successful project planning and execution.
  • Extensive knowledge of Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) site investigation and remediation, including current remedial technologies and a strong understanding of industry best practices and environmental regulations.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred; candidates with the ability to obtain PE registration within 12 months will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage environmental remediation projects effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information to stakeholders.

 

The hourly pay range for the contract is between $50 & $70, depending on the combination of experience, education, and license requirements
