Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one and/or small group online tutoring in standard school subjects, ESL, and test prep to students
2. Arrange tutoring schedules for one-on-one and/or small group sessions with the Academic Advisor.
3. Assess students' subject and/or English proficiency level and academic needs; prepare individualized or small-group curricula for subject, ESL, or test prep tutoring classes, depending on the tutoring assignment and the Tutor’s assessment.
4. Tailor individual tutoring sessions via online platforms Zoom and/or Class
5. Complete session reports within 24 hours after each session on TechWorks.
6. Monitor students’ grades in classes related to the tutoring assignments and develop a plan of action with schoolteachers and administrators as needed.
7. Attend check-in meetings with administrators twice a year.
Hours: afternoons and evening hours. Based on your availability, our tutors work 5 to 20 hours per week.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of experience teaching or tutoring.
Familiarity with American elementary, middle, and high school curricula.
Experience in utilizing online tutoring platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Passionate about education and cultural diversity.
Pass a background check and be eligible to work in the US.
