Our client has retained our services to hire a Director of Accounting (Controller) as a full-time job in Richmond, VA.
 
As a Director of Accounting, you will play a key role in overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring strong accounting controls, and driving the organization's accounting strategy. The idea candidate will have strong accounting skills, healthcare industry experience, and executive presence. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions

• Daily monitoring of bank activity for domestic and international accounts and resolving loans

• Supervision of accounts payable, reconciliation of AP, AR, and payroll functions

• Develop annual budgets via collaboration with department managers. Preparation of quarterly re-forecast.

• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results

Job Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting and 2 in a leadership role

• Knowledge of all aspects of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
