Veseris is hiring a Branch Operations Manager. This is a full time permanent position onsite in Miami, FL.
Primary Purpose:
Manage personnel, facilities and operations related activities in a cost-efficient manner at the branch level. Responsible for regulatory, health and safety compliance at the facility.

- Responsible for the daily safe, efficient, legal and economical operation of all warehouse, repack, bulk handling, laboratory and transportation activities.
- Implement corporate policy on health and safety, environmental affairs and operations standards at the branch level to include all training, documentation and records.
- Support sales efforts consistent with corporate and regulatory compliance, health, safety and environmental affairs.
- Implement and manage branch health and safety program and conduct safety audits in conjunction with Area Operations Manager or Regulatory Manager.
- Implement branch regulatory compliance program.
- Responsible for maintenance, upkeep and housekeeping of facility, buildings, equipment and fleet.
- Develop budget and operating plans in coordination with sales and area management.
- Maintain close security and control over physical operations and branch buildings, tank farms, grounds and equipment.
- Responsible for meeting customer requirements in a cost effective manner using appropriate risk management in fulfilling orders·
- Participate in the negotiation of labor contracts.
- Manage salary plan, personnel development, hiring, promoting and termination.
- Manage drug testing and Medical surveillance program.
- Consult on environmental projects.
- Manage outside legal environmental and consulting services.
- Develop training criteria for branch staff.
- Participate in Local Emergency Planning Committee and industry organizations·
- Participate in Local Emergency Planning Committee and industry organizations.
- Responsible for cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Properly manage warehouse, repack & transportation function through UVX2000 System.
- Manage company quality process at local level.
Problem Solving:
Assisting where necessary the development of solutions to daily customer service problems.
Managing the complex area of environmental and regulatory compliance. Personnel performance evaluations and selecting appropriate course of corrective action. Long and short-term planning to ensure cost efficient and effective customer service levels.
Decision-Making Authority:- Approval of new SKU’s into system (Bulk and Repack).
- Deployment of assets to meet customer requirement.
- Development, promotion and relocation of operations personnel.
- Repair, remodel and upgrading of facilities.
- Responsible for training health and safety programs for operations personnel.
- Vendor selection for facility and equipment needs.
- Represent VWR in community affairs situations.
- Solve customer service problems.
- Responsible for hiring, promotion, and terminating of operations personnel.
- Maintenance of building and equipment.
- Warehouse, production, transportation decisions.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

- Required Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical distribution facility operation.
- In-depth knowledge of Local, State and Federal regulations affecting facilities in area of responsibility.
- HazMat certified, Hazwoper Certified· 3-5 years experience in operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Working knowledge of governmental requirements related to the chemical industry; i.e. OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, etc. or demonstrated ability to attain such knowledge.

- $90,000.00 Annually to $100,000.00 Annually
