Growth Marketing Segment Strategist 

The Growth Marketing Segment Strategist is responsible for developing and executing effective segmentation strategies that optimize customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven marketing professional with a passion for driving growth.  This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the ability to translate insights into marketing strategies. This candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Data Management, Analytics, Content Marketing, and Digital Commerce.

The base salary range for this role is $64,116K- $85,489K 

Summary of Primary Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Partner with the Customer Data Management team to analyze customer data and identify growth strategies. 
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the sales team to support growth strategies to increase customer engagement, drive faster closes, and improve win rates
  • Customer Profiles: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and audience needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform growth marketing strategies
  • Segmentation: Develop and implement targeted segmentation strategies based on customer role/title, behavior, and other relevant factors to support acquisition, retention, or loyalty.
  • Program Development: Create marketing programs that align with customer needs and business objectives, ensuring optimal product/service mix. 
  • Content Development: Partner with the Content Marketing team to develop targeted marketing campaigns tailored to specific customer segments.
  • Marketing Trends: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in growth marketing and segmentation
  • Profitability and Growth: Drive revenue growth and profitability by developing and executing programs that deliver measurable results.
  • Reporting: Utilize data and analytics to measure program performance, identify trends, and optimize marketing efforts.
Minimum Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on growth and customer acquisition
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of customer behavior and segmentation methodologies
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, Excel, etc)
  • Experience with automation tools and CRM Systems (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to drive decision-making
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the education or B2B market is preferred

  • Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex strategies and ideas
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data and analytics to optimize marketing campaigns and measure performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with Content Marketing, Sales, and other departments to drive business growth.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and industry trends, ensuring that the growth marketing strategy remains relevant and effective

  • Up to 15%
