Email Marketing Journey Developer (Remote) 

The Email Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, and optimizing high-impact email campaigns that drive engagement, conversions, and customer retention. With expertise in HTML/CSS, responsive design, and email marketing platforms, the Email Developer will create visually appealing and functional emails that adhere to brand standards and enhance overall marketing efforts.

The base hourly range for this role is $24.47- $32.62 per hour.  

Summary of Primary Responsibilities
  • Email Development: Create, code, and implement responsive email templates using HTML, CSS, and inline styling, ensuring compatibility across various email clients and devices.
  • Campaign Execution: Collaborate with the marketing team to execute email campaigns, including promotional, transactional, and automated emails, from concept to deployment.
  • Email Journey Design: Leverage internal customer data to design and optimize email journeys, ensuring a cohesive and personalized customer experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous testing and troubleshooting to ensure emails render correctly across all platforms and browsers, using tools like Litmus or Email on Acid.
  • Personalization & Segmentation: Work with data teams to implement dynamic content, personalization, and segmentation strategies that enhance the relevancy and effectiveness of email campaigns.
  • A/B Testing: Design and conduct A/B tests to optimize email performance, including subject lines, layouts, and content variations, and analyze results to inform future campaigns.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor email performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversions), generate reports, and provide insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Compliance: Ensure all email communications comply with industry standards and regulations, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other relevant laws.
  • Collaboration: Partner with designers, copywriters, and marketing strategists to develop cohesive email content that supports overall marketing objectives
Minimum Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in email development or a related role.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and email-specific coding best practices.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, HubSpot) and email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid).
  • Strong understanding of email design principles, including responsive and mobile-first design.
  • Familiarity with email analytics and performance metrics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of email compliance regulations and best practices.
