Description

We are now accepting resumes/applications for EXPERIENCED RIGGERS for the Thibodaux & surrounding areas.  Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

  • Job Scope:
    • Set up and repair rigging at manufacturing plants, shipyards, logging yards, construction sites, and film sets. Riggers are responsible for aligning and anchoring the machinery, attaching loads, controlling the movement of heavy equipment, and ensuring the rigging is safe for use.
  • Job Requirements:
    • MUST HAVE VALID LICENSE AND CLEAN MVR
    • Technical school education is a plus, but high school diploma or GED is required.​​​​​
    • Must be able to pass physical
    • Must be able to pass drug screen
    • Must be able to pass background check
    • Must have TWIC Card
    • Must Have OSHA Card

  • Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved.
    • Setting, aligning, and leveling heavy equipment machinery.
    • Selecting the appropriate rigging gear.
    • Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts.
    • Inspecting rigging before final use.
    • Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment.
    • Maneuvering loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand.
    • Ensuring compliance with state and company safety procedures.
    • Communicating with the rigging and construction team.
    • Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections.
    • Transport merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas.
      • Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed.
      • Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages.
      • Load and unload merchandise to and from trailers.
    • Performs general housekeeping and maintenance duties as directed.
      • Mange house keeping activities when requested.
      • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
      • Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
    • Participate in JSA’s and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes.
    • Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensure all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment
    • Implement health and safety standards when carrying out job operations to ensure public and environmental safety
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
    • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks
    • Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
    • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
      • Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
      • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock
  • MUST have reliable transportation
  • Pay:
    • $20.00 
    • Weekly Pay
    • Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
  • Schedule:
    • Monday - Sunday (Weekends as Needed) 
      • 12 Hour Days (With weather permitting)
  • Duration of Job: Temp to Hire (Based on Job Performance)
