As a Mission Analyst, you will act as an individual contributor within our mission planning and performance analysis team.  Through the development of analytics and models, the successful candidate will provide insight into outcomes of mission planning.   The role will entail significant collaboration with groups across the company.  

Primary areas of responsibility include: 
  • Development of capacity models in support of current and predicted loads 
  • Analysis and tuning of the image scheduling functionality 
  • Analysis of tasking load and efficiency, including cloud cover and yield 
  • Development of algorithms for mission planning workflow 
  • Analysis and tuning of short-term and long-term strategic collection feasibility 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be willing and able to apply for and hold a Secret National Security Clearance. 
  • BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related discipline 
  • Experience with a technology or scientific company 
  • Experience in scientific or engineering algorithm development   
  • Experience in Unix/Linux and Windows OS environments 
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI/ML data science techniques 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and model complex processes 
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization (e.g., MATLAB) 
  • Knowledge of GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS) 
  • Knowledge of satellite operations and planning systems 

Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $79,000.00 - $131,000.00 annually.
