As a Network Solutions Engineer (Route/Switch) you will

Leverage your strong understanding of Layer 2/3 Engineering and Provisioning and carrier ethernet architecture to develop network solutions based on Customer requirements including growth plans, capacity constraints, new features, and technologies.
Be responsible for creating complex step-by-step engineering methods of procedure to migrate, reconfigure, and modernize the entire customer's networks.
Deliver OSS, NMS, CES solutions, Complex DCN designs, Software customization framework, and development plans.
Stay abreast of new product engineering guidelines and keep current with the latest technologies to deliver optimum network designs to the Customer.
Provide timely support to Customers for questions/issues.
Communicate project status and escalate problems to the engineering team leader.
Proactively pursue methods or solutions that will improve the Customer network and/or Engineering processes.
Be responsible for validating and creating the Detailed Network Design (DND) that contains all the required settings and configurations needed to properly provision and turn up implemented equipment.
Act as a key technical interface to the Customer, plans, and engineers, and support network solutions/migration.

Your background will include:

Active TS/SCI/Full Scope Poly (Must have).
Working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or relative vendor equipment.
Expert knowledge and experience in working with Layer-2, and Layer-3 protocols.
BS degree in Telecommunications, Networking, or a similar technical field of study.
Security+ or any equivalent DoD 8570 (IAT Level II or higher).
A diverse Telecommunications background, with strong hands-on technical experience, and organizational and interpersonal skills.
Willing to work onsite most days with possible travel time of up to 25% to meet client needs.

Other beneficial experience and knowledge:

Knowledge and experience with Layer-0, and Layer-1.
CCNA or equivalent Certification Project+, ITIL, Scrum master, or equivalent project management certification.
Current or Prior experience knowledge with the Ciena Product Family.

The anticipated salary range is $125-215k per annum plus bonus eligibility. The salary information provided is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations
