Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage a group of circa 25 highly qualified engineers, technicians and assistants in the chip development department
• Responsible for employee development and coaching of the Chip R&D team
• Cooperates with the Frontend R&D team
• Directs projects regarding the improvement of working methods in the area of R&D with a special focus on chip development
• Optimizes and further develops business processes in cooperation with other departments such as the Project Management Office (PMO)

 Qualifications

• University degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering; Material Science or equivalent qualifications
• Professional experience in the semiconductor industry
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the field of LED chip development and semiconductor processing 
• Team management skills and leadership 
• Advanced methodological competence, e.g. in the area of lean management
• High level of personal commitment and social skills
• Very good knowledge of English and German in verbal and written form
