@Orchard LLC has an immediate opening for a Maritime Engineer to act as the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative for a United States Coast Guard program’s drydock facility in Vancouver, WA. The period of performance is 6 months.
Responsibilities:- Oversight of the work includes in the Scope of Work; this includes weekly site visits at a minimum.
- The COTR’s duties include providing technical direction and guidance as necessary with respect to the performance of work under the contract.
- The COTR is responsible for bringing to the attention of the Contracting Officer and the program/requiring office for which the work is being performed, any significant deficiencies with respect to contractor performance or other actions which might jeopardize contract performance.
- The COTR will be responsible for Monitoring Performance, Monitoring Costs, Changes to The Contract, Visits, and Meetings with the Contractor, Inspection of Contract Items, and Contract File Content & Maintenance.
Experience and Skillset Required:- Previous experience as a COTR for a government project of similar size and scope.
- Experience repairing vessels of the age and type as the TV Ironwood.
- Experience with marine engine and propulsion systems, hydraulics systems, electrical systems, onboard sewage treatment systems, air handler systems, and, hull repair.
- Experience with the USCG’s 5-year haul-out requirements per the Code of Federal Regulations (46CFR 176).
