Our DACH client, a leading worldwide supplier of high performance optical sensors is in search of an:

Principal Analog Design Engineer, IC - Semiconductors -       Munich, Germany

 

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Technical leadership of ASIC, technical interface to the customer as well as to internal stakeholders, for specification, design, layout, process, test and product engineering
  • Define high performance analog / mixed-signal architectures & circuits from initial concept through prototype approval and until production ramp, including design for: manufacturability, yield, test, and reliability
  • Review highly demanding block level analog circuit design with high order of complexity
  • Perform and supervise detailed design, simulation, verification and validation of integrated circuits in collaboration with other team members like analog, layout, digital design and validation engineers
  • Prepare documents required for design reviews, internal discussions, test requirements and design documentations
  • Expertise with circuit simulations, including: PVT, Monte Carlo, mixed signal, modelling, optimization, etc.
  • Creative problem solver, able to generate new IP and file patents
  • Contribute to the growth of the team, help junior / younger engineers learn required knowledge and experience through projects work

Qualifications

  • PhD, Master’s or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering or microelectronics – with an emphasis in analog / mixed signal Integrated Circuit Design or a similar specialty
  • Experience in analog and mixed signal IC Design for more than 10 years
  • Experience in system design for integrated circuits for more than 5 years
  • Strong knowledge in Cadence EDA tools
  • Strong intuitive and analytical understanding of transistor-level design
  • Experience in sensor integrated readout circuits is advantageous
  • Experience in optical sensor is a plus
  • Experience is required in some or all of the following; low power and low noise analog front ends, Delta-Sigma ADCs, DACs, LED drivers, optoelectronics, signal processing and calibration techniques or algorithm development,
  • Excellent team player
  • Calm professional demeanor and excellent listening skills, ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Good communication skills in oral and written English

University degree in Electrical Engineering or microelectronics
10+ yrs exp in analog and mixed signal IC Design
5+ yrs exp in system design for integrated circuits
Cadence EDA tools
low-noise, low-power analog circuits design
transistor-level design
low power clock generation circuits, oscillators, Delta-Sigma
English fluency
EU citizen / German work permit holder
