@Orchard (formerly Talent Orchard) has an opening to support our large Federal Systems Integration firm for a Sr. Import Export Analyst in Sterling Heights, MI. This will be a Temp opportunity with an initial contract duration being 9 months with strong potential to extend. This will be a Part-time fully remote opportunity and 20hrs/Wk will be the approx work schedule.

Seeking an Import Export Analyst to temporarily support Our Client's Land & Armament, Combat Mission Systems, Import/Export Compliance department in preparing export license applications and agreements, and other related activities, to achieve business objectives while maintaining strict compliance with applicable U.S. government laws and regulations. 

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares Department of State and Department of Commerce License applications for submission.
  • Prepares Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) and Manufacturing License Agreements (MLA) for submission. This will include coordination with program personnel to gather detailed information to support the authorization.
  • Meeting program objectives and schedules by processing applications and paperwork in a timely manner is critical.
  • Understands and applies U.S. Export Regulations (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), BATFE regulations), and company export policies.
  • Assists company personnel on export-related questions.
  • Ensures that all OCR/EASE Export Management System tasks and documentation are complete for all authorizations and transactions.
  • Maintains export-related record keeping functions as required by law and company policies.
  • Supports, prepares for, and participates in company, external and government audits.
Experience/Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience with Experience interpreting and applying the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Control Regulations (EAR) governing international trade.
  • Experience drafting export authorizations for submission to the U.S. Dept. of State or the U.S. Dept. of Commerce.
  • Previous experience as an Empowered Official is desired.
  • Experience with OCR/EASE Export Management System is desired.
  • Proficient computer skills including all Microsoft office applications.
  • Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills with demonstrated experience managing multiple deadlines supporting regulatory requirements and business objectives.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently and to operate effectively without direct supervision.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
