@Orchard LLC has been retained by a specialty Federal Consulting firm, focused exclusively in the areas of BI Reporting, Data Analysis, Data Engineering, and Data Science, with market-leading solutions and services supporting these areas of need within the Government sector. Our client is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) who will take the lead on both internal security projects as well as support our project teams in obtaining Authority To Test (ATT) / Authority to Operate (ATO) for their systems.  As a key member of our team, you will create all necessary certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation and lead efforts throughout the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. As the ISSO, your role is to support the company in meeting the needs of our internal security projects in addition to being the lead support for our external customers in order to be compliant with federal security requirements.

The candidate for this role must be highly analytical and able to effectively troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues. Aside from technical skills, prospective candidates should have excellent communication skills, teamwork, leadership, and conflict management skills. Given the constant developing nature of information systems and cyber attacks, the ISSO must be committed to continuous learning and system development.

This position will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, and technologies, with an emphasis in onsite and technology-related security awareness programs. You’ll create and deliver strategies and plans to help employees maximize the adoption of new programs by improving methods of effective and sustained behavior change. 

As the ISSO, you will:

• Lead company through CMMC certification.
• Assist internal product team with obtaining FedRAMP compliance for cBEYONData software solutions.
• Support information system life cycle activities ranging from rapidly establishing systems to support classified projects, to scoping systems for new programs, and preparing RMF packages.
• Regular maintenance, support, and upgrades of systems during program execution, and to program close-out and de-certification activities.
• Lead all internal security programs and assist with external reporting on those programs.
• Assist project teams and customer security officers with obtaining project solution ATT/ATO’s.

Your background will need to include:

• 4 years of experience as an ISSO.
• 2+ years of experience with developing Risk Management products and working through system accreditations.
• 2+ years of experience with selecting and assessing security controls.
• Experience interfacing with information assurance managers, including reviewing documentation, systems security plans (SSPs), risk assessment reports, accreditation packages, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Security knowledge required: knowledge of CMMC compliance, understanding of the FedRAMP process.  
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance, active clearance a plus.
