What You Will Do:

Provide hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues. Procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment. Provide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial. Deploy, install, and implement hardware at CONUS and OCONUS locations. Prepare specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements. Prepare engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages. Organize and direct hardware installations. Configure computers, networking devices and various peripheral equipment. Prepare site installation and test reports. Ensure that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user’s requirements. Prepare reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging hardware technologies. Provide specific input to the hardware components of system design to include end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.

We are seeking:

A Hardware Engineer that will provide hardware engineering expertise to analyze complex hardware systems, hardware design, architecture, network design and other technical hardware issues. They will perform and procure acceptance testing on equipment while maintaining preventative and remedial hardware support. They will prepare engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages. They will provide specific input to the hardware components of system design that includes end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices and specialized processors. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can hit the ground running..

Our minimum requirements for this role:

• Experience with Dell severs, cable fabrication (primarily RJ45), systems integration and interpreting electronic schematics.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems, RF/Satellite communications, and logistical efforts
• Experience working in a virtualized computer environment
• Fourteen (14) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of nineteen (19) years’ experience.
