@Orchard (formerly Talent Orchard) has been an opening to support our large Federal Systems Integration firm for a HR Business Partner in Louisville, KY. This is an exciting opportunity to support one of the largest defense contractors that has over $22.59 billion dollars in revenue and is a publicly-traded company. The company works in a fast-paced environment with over 84, 000 employees worldwide. The initial contract duration will be 6 months.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with site human resource manager and management team in providing counsel/influence/management in both the union/non-union environment.
  • Support site human resource manager in labor relations areas of grievance cases and continued positive union/management relations.
  • Support site human resource manager in counsel to management in the implementation and delivery of HR programs and the optimization of organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with site human resource manager to identify top talent, support the succession planning process.. 
  • Partner on driving a culture that is diverse and inclusive.
  • Analyze and monitor HR metrics for actionable trends.
  • Ability to utilize various systems to pull data in order to generate reports primarily in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Collaborate and direct the support of the HR Centers of Excellence and all elements of the HR delivery model to ensure the delivery of world class HR services and programs to address critical business needs and employ effective measures of success.
  • Partner to influence and support a respectful and ethical workplace that is inclusive of a positive safe culture.
Experience/Skills Required:
  • 8+ Years with HS or 6+ Years with AA or 4+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS
  • Ability to display a high level of work prioritization, time management and customer follow through.
  • Mitigate human capital related business risks and support compliance activities.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Experience or a desire to work in Labor Relations a plus.
