Responsibilities

  1. Be able to read wiring diagram/schematics (AutoCAD)
  2. Check BOM (System BOM & Purchase BOM), manuals
  3. Be able to read Pin definition (in Chinese)
  4. Be able to analyze CAN data, read IO program logic table (Chinese & English)
  5. Be able to read ECN and explain to mechanics on how to apply
  6. Program updating
  7. Train mechanics on core products working principle, specifications and troubleshooting
  8. Make instructions (troubleshooting procedures /program updating and etc.)
  9. Provide technical support for mechanics or customer to fix issues (onsite or through email/phone/Wechat)
  10. Sort out defects records and send feedback to the design team to improve.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
  12. Help BYD to fulfill duties and make the world a better place.

Basic Qualifications

  1. BS Degree in Electrical/Electronic Computer and comparable Engineering or equivalent field.
  2. Minimum 1+ years of experience with electrical system-level design, installation, integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, or related experience.
  3. Experience with electrical schematic software and familiar with wire harness routing.
  4. Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  1. MS Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, and comparable Engineering or equivalent field.
  2. Experience in automotive or aerospace industries.
  3. Engineering experience working in the prototyping environment.
  4. Experience working with technicians, engineers, fabricators, etc.
  5. Demonstrated aptitude in adopting and mastering new technology and tools
  6. Experience with written and visual work instructions.
  7. Able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
