The Learning and Development team in collaboration with the Enterprise Cloud Platform Department is looking to add an instructional Design Contractor to support the designing of an onboarding curriculum for a major company initiative; developing new synchronous and asynchronous training (vILT, eLearning, video, etc.); and creating documentation and other training materials.

This individual must have experience working with Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360. This position also requires excellent written and communication skills to ensure the training courses and other documents they create are accurate. The individual will be collaborating with Subject Matter Experts across teams and business units to ensure the correct information is included. The projects can move quickly, so the right individual will be able to transition between multiple projects and responsibilities quickly.  
 
What you will be responsible for:  

  • Research, design, schedule, and implement training projects. 
  • Analyzes specific needs of education development projects. Collects and reviews technical specifications required of education projects. Determines type of learning needed and develops the learning content.  
  • Writes, designs, edits, and maintains documentation, communication, and training materials, including eLearning, videos and PowerPoint. 
  • Coordinate publication and dissemination of those materials. 
  • Develops, evaluates, and designs instructionally sound appropriate educational materials according to corporate style guidelines and specifications, including inclusive design practices (Section 508, learning preferences, cultural awareness, etc.). 
  • Maintains education files and file hierarchy according to department specifications. 
  • May perform other job duties as assigned. 

What you will need to have: 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design for technical training.  
  • Experience developing learning content to support a variety of technical and/or digital skill sets.  
  • Proficient in using Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360. 
  • Proficient in using Camtasia.  
  • Portfolio available for review.  

What would be nice for you to have:  
  • Experience with authoring tools such as TechSmith SnagIt, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, and Microsoft O365 Suite 
  • Experience creating and using videos in e-Learning.
