Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Job Summary: You are a hands-on, proactive, and team oriented Accountant able to work independently in a fast paced environment managing multiple clients simultaneously. You will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and accounting of cash receipts, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month-end processes, management reporting, analysis and evaluation of financial statements and other related accounting transactions.
Responsibilities:
Prepares timely and accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasting, and management reports in accordance with GAAP
Prepares journal entries and reconciles and analyzes ledgers and financial statements
Performs bookkeeping, payroll functions, and bank reconciliations
Maintains and complies with effective internal controls for financial transactions.
Performs monthly GL account reconciliations
Performs month-end closings
Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
3+ years full-cycle accounting experience in a public accounting environment
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and advanced Excel skills
Skilled in reading and interpreting statistical and financial data
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on timely, accurate results
Ability to multi-task and excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
