Albelissa seeks candidates for the position of Engine Performance Engineer for an important client in Turin. The successful candidate will research and investigate the design, functionality and performance of combustion systems, turbochargers and or air system components used in diesel and gas engines.
 

Responsibilities:

• Design and predict the performance of combustion and air systems through appropriate computational fluid dynamic simulations.
• The candidate is expected to fully contributing in assignments that are broad, complex, and challenging in nature.
• Based on performance analysis/simulation, the Engineer will identify critical design and performance issues, help solve these, and effectively communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
• The candidate is also expected to work with international teams to deliver projects.

 
Job Requirements:

• Education: Masters or PhD with 1-2 years of relevant work experience or BSME or applicable technical degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
• Ability to work independently in the areas of cycle simulation (e.g. Wave, GT-Power, DESTINY), performance analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (e.g. Fluent, CFX, STARCD).
• Must be proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point as well as cycle simulation tools, CFD and optimization software.
• English fluency.
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented.
• Strong background and understanding of engine system fundamentals and understanding of how these relate to overall engine emissions and performance. Previously demonstrated in-depth technical knowledge, analysis, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership - the ability to assemble and lead diverse teams, to direct the work of others in pursuit of common goals, and to deliver results on time.
• Must be open to travel.
• Availability for relocation to the west coast US for long term assignments is a major plus.
