@Orchard LLC has a great opportunity for a skilled X-ray radiology Technician to join our hospital-based client at their medical center in Iowa City, IA, to start immediately. This is a 6-month initial contract with the option to further extend for another 6 months. Must be willing to treat patients of all ages.

As a Radiology Technician, you will perform a range of radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations. You will work in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional diagnostic imaging services.

Your background will include:
  • Must have ARRT-R certification in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R). 
  • Have completed a full-time training course of at least 24 months in diagnostic radiologic technology from an accredited program. 
  • Must have BLS certification. 
  • Must be willing to participate in the seasonal influenza vaccination program and COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Previous military experience or veteran status is warmly welcomed but not required.
Your responsibilities will include.
  • Work at the medical facility on an 8-hour day shift schedule (start time ranges between 7 am-9:30 am) Monday to Friday.
  • Perform a variety of radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to urgent exam requests, prioritizing patient care.
  • Review patient labs and medical history to assess exam suitability and potential side effects.
  • Prepare and administer contrast material as required.
  • Safely and accurately transfer and position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Adhere to all guidelines, protocols, policies, and infection control standards.
  • Conduct procedures including G.I. examinations, tomography, cholangiograms, intravenous pyelography, arthrography, ERCPs, and routine diagnostic procedures.
  • Process film plates using the CR system and operate computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain section stock items and supplies.
