Our state-of-the-art specialty pharmacy provides medications that are often used to treat complex or rare conditions. We deliver services to enhance the patient experience within the comfort of their home. We are recruiting a Contracts Administrator to join our team of health care professionals. As a Contracts Administrator, you will provide support to the Corporate Counsel in managing the pharmacy’s legal needs. Supports all matters relating to contracts, including but not limited to, file organization, development of contracting procedures, and performing contract audits.  Communicates contract procedural requirements to internal stakeholders and prepares materials to support continued business needs. Prepares documentation and completes related legal and regulatory tasks as assigned.

Job type: Full-time, temporary

Salary Range: $24.11 - $30.14 hourly, depending on experience

Position responsibilities:
  1. Supports and works closely with the Corporate Counsel to ensure the position’s responsibilities are accomplished with precision, thoroughness, and consistency.
  2. Accurately maintains a master contracts list and conducts contract audits consistent with applicable accreditation requirements and internal business needs.
  3. Effectively communicates contract procedural requirements to the appropriate internal stakeholders and ensures contract expirations and renewals are handled as directed.
  4. Strives to identify areas of improvement in the contract management system and works to implement process solutions.
  5. Prepares and submits network recredentialling documents and maintains recredentialling records in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  6. Performs tasks related to government program participation, including but not limited to, portal maintenance, disclosure and license updates, revalidations, and responding to audits and surveys.
  7. Collaborates with subject matter experts to perform annual insurance renewal notifications and related insurance tasks.
  8. Coordinates with all internal departments and affiliate companies as needed to accomplish responsibilities.
  9. Works independently and as a team member, as applicable, to fulfill the functions and objectives of the position.
  10. Answers telephone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
  11. Demonstrates the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to effectively complete job responsibilities.
  12. Performs responsibilities as directed, achieving desired results within expected time frames with a high degree of quality and professionalism.
  13. Establishes and maintains a positive and productive work relationship with all staff and external stakeholders.
  14. Complies with the company’s Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; attending work punctually and regularly; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities.
  15. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
  16. Performs or supports administrative tasks as needed.

Required skills:
  1. Education and experience
    1. Required
      1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in legal studies or healthcare management.
    2. Preferred
      1. One to three years’ experience in the legal, regulatory, or healthcare field.

    9. Must have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact professionally and effectively with all employees and external parties.
    10. Must be able to deal tactfully with diverse people, situations, and viewpoints.
    11. Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills.
    12. Must have technical abilities in PC software, especially Adobe and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
    13. Must be able to consistently work with confidential and proprietary materials and strictly maintain confidentiality.
    14. Must have scheduling flexibility and the ability to work overtime.
  3. Working Conditions
    1. Work is performed in an office environment, with extensive keyboard and telephone work in stationary position.
    2. Business needs may occasionally require work in excess of 40 hours per week, including work outside of standard work week.
  4. Contact with others
    1. Internally with Ardon employees across multiple departments.
    2. Externally with business partners, vendors, outside agencies, and customers.

  • Prior experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to navigate computer applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy benefit investigation, prior authorization support, and patient financial assistance connection.
  • Prior experience working with physicians, nurses, or other healthcare professionals.
