@Orchard LLC has been retained by a well-established solutions provider within the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure sector to identify an experienced Cloud Software Engineer to support their federal work in Fort Meade, MD. This will be an excellent opportunity for a Cleared Cloud professional to support our country’s top defense engineering group. Owing to the secure nature of the work and client requirements the Cloud Software Engineer must possess a current and active clearance level at the TS/SCI FSP level.

Duties include:

• Work with Cyber Analytic development and optimization.
• Work as part of a team to discover, enhance, capture, and counter cyber activity.
• The applicant will have cyber analytic development experience, preferably with NCTOC or Cyber Security Operations.
• Work side by side with the customer and analysts to identify, design and implement solutions.
• Ability to program in either Java, Python, or Pig, etc.

Skills/Experience Required

• Five years of general experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Three years of experience developing software with high-level languages such as Java, C, C++.
• Two years of experience with the Map Reduce programming model, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig.
• DoD 8570 IAT I baseline certification required
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related discipline. Lack of degree can be satisfied with four years of additional general experience.
• TS/SCI w/ Poly required
