Linux Application Support Specialist

Minneapolis, MN

@Orchard LLC has been retained by one of the federal integrators to identify and recruit an Application Support Specialist to provide technical support within their Linux environment.  The work is located out of their Minneapolis facility in Minnesota. However, it has the potential for remote work from applicant’s home office. Period of performance is 8 months with potential extensions based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Atlassian, server (Linux) focused support, application licensing, configuration, and resolving system issues of the Atlassian suite e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Crowd, and Collabnet Subversion Edge Subversion, etc.
• Provide technical support in the areas of application software management, application automations, licensing, laboratory configuration, and resolving issues. Consult with senior and/or lead analysts for assistance with problem resolution requiring a higher level of technical expertise.
• Provide or develop successful automation techniques supporting improvements in customer processes, application installation or applications usage
• Ability to provide on-call or after-hours support of critical systems.

Skills/Experience Required

• Experience with Microsoft and Redhat operating systems, application installations within a networked environment and experience troubleshooting network issues
• Demonstrate experienced in providing support to customers and basic conflict resolution techniques.
• Bachelor's Degree and 3 years work experience or equivalent experience
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
