As a Project Manager in our Energy Storage Systems team, you will work closely with Energy Storage clients and our China headquarters supporting the sales cycle, delivery, construction, and after-sales by planning, organizing, scheduling to ensure all that needs to be done gets done, ultimately helping BYD grow US market share of our utility products.

Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.

• Support the Energy Storage Department though management of ESS projects.
• Manage project development from initiation to closure;
• Act as coordinator between customer in U.S. and factories in China;
• Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed;
• Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout the duration of various projects;
• Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes are documented;
• Determine if external consultants or contractors will be required to complete project plan;
• Communicate internally with procurement department on the status of orders;
• Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to senior management team;
• Ensure the design and delivery of product meets the customer’s satisfaction;
• Any addition duties assigned.  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Program Management or Business Administration is required. Master's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (or similar planning tools) and MS Office is required.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as working independently;
• Superior customer service skills
• Bilingual working environment: fluent in Chinese is a must for coordinating with Factory in China.  
• Experience working in the U.S. power industry is a plus.
• 1 year+ experience working as a program manager and/or education equivalent is a plus.
• Experience in Multi-culture, Multi-language working environment is a plus.
