Description

BYD’s Electric Truck Business is looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to help achieve aggressive sales targets and grow business with major accounts within an assigned geographical area. The candidate will work directly with trucking operators, engineering companies, utilities, and municipalities to help grow the Electric Truck Market in their region. For this role, BYD seeks an individual with outstanding organization, communication and sales skills, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to coordinate with many different stakeholders in complex technical sales.
  • Excellent communication with technical, financial and commercial information.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple large accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with BYD Leadership to establish and execute sales targets for the region.
  • Forecast and report monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Develop specific plans to ensure short-term and long-term growth.
  • Develop territory sales and marketing strategies.
  • Analyze market data to find the most effective sales methods.
  • Communicate with customers to understand concerns and provide solutions.
  • Identify new sales opportunities through market research.
  • Present products and services to customers and project partners.
  • Participate in industry events (e.g. trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships. Monitor competition within assigned region.

Requirements:

  • 10 Years of Experience, technical sales and/or truck sales preferred. Knowledge of Trucking, Transportation and/or electrical systems.
  • Travel up to 75% in designated area.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs.
  • Proficient in MS Office; CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership ability.
  • Problem-solving and objective critical thinking
