Responsibilities

Senior to mid-level architect able to document model based engineering using DoDAF (Version 2 preferred but not required) or ToGAF certification, training, or experience (senior 5 years and mid-level 3 years of experience). Ability to create Architectural Viewpoints and models in order to document workflows, interfaces, architectural components, and hosting requirements for the end-to-end solution. Experience with Cameo from No Magic is a plus but not a requirement.  Be prepared to discuss the tool(s) used to create previous DoDAF/ToGAF artifacts.  Ability to interview architects and developers to document technical views and models. Ability to translate system requirements into artifacts to be delivered directly to the client. Ability to design and maintain DoDAF artifacts. Provide developers with oversight to assist in developers to build an architecturally sounds solution which includes roles, responsibilities, accountability, security, accessibility, reliability, sustainability, and maintainability.

Senior and Mid-level DoDAF Architect(s) with good communication skills who are able to understand mission objectives and evaluate Strategic Guidance documents and User CONOPS.  Able to articulate mission problem and develop business, solution approach and perform impact analysis to provide create a capabilities roadmap and plans.

The Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will be able to create and communicate business architectures representing the client mission by interviewing stakeholders, mission statements, and current artifacts used to generate risk/impact alternative analysis and additional data needed, workflows, mission threads, business requirements, preliminary validation criteria, Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) including  MOE data, requirements traceability, preliminary lifecycle concepts create business analyst records.  Our proposed solution utilizes the SAFe Agile framework utilizing the DevSecOps paradigm to promote Continuous Integration Continuous Operations (CICO).  The SME(s) should be DevSecOps and SAFe Agile aware, a certification in these paradigms would be a plus.

Qualifications

  • Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
  • US citizen
  • Secret clearance or ability to hold a Secret clearance.

Duties include:

  • Establish enterprise architecture within the context of the overall ATIS system including selection of processor types and architecture, and software architecture and major interfaces, in accordance with applicable DoD and other Federal policies and guidance, such as Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Creates the business architecture information and artifacts (in accordance with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and the ATIS (Army Training Information System) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG) using DOD designated tools.
  • Produce DOD Architecture Framework Version 2.02 Viewpoints and Models using MagicDraw and other tools.
  • Analyze the required product deliverables and determine appropriate level of support to include various overview, system, and operational product views.
  • Conducts business architecture analysis to include providing the evaluation of alternatives, identifying business requirements, and proposing validation criteria, Preliminary MOE needs, MOE data and functional traceability.
  • Identify and align requirements, derive system architecture and functional design, and identify associated risks to ensure products meet Army requirements
  • Designs, develops, and maintains current and future views and data describing the enterprise architecture.
  • Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures to ensure EA policy compliance or to improve the EA.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with subject matter expert and other architects to reflect reengineered business processes into the EA.
  • Defines, develops, and provides expertise and guidance on EA processes, policies, roles and responsibilities.
